Tell me why...

by bloglikesit @ 23/01/2006 - 11:43:45

I’ll tell you why I don’t like Mondays. On Mondays I get to chase up, collect, collate and then tick off last week’s paperwork. It is the most boring, repetitive (I always want to keep going with the “ti” in repetitive. Repetititititititititive. Words should be spelled to reflect their meaning in some way, I think) task I have to do in my role as admin/sales/transport/IT/production/management/everything-else-assistant. Hence the blogging when I should be working.

now funny you should mention this...I hate tuesdays, no really, think about it... MOnday you actually have lots of stuff to do which keeps you busy and the day just flies over...and the old autopilot mode kicks in... now Tuesdays are neither Here not There really.... limbo whereupon nothing goes on at all..

wednesdays are nearly thursdays which is just a friday and then it's the weekend....ho hum another monday..lol

The G-Man makes an excellent point here - and anyone who's ever indulged in weekend Ecstasy binges knows only too well that the day after Monday is always Suicide Tuesday.

Thank Jimminey I don't do that anymore.

I never mentioned those thing Juzzzy.... I've always felt like that about Tuesdays really.....

I used to get drunk on a monday night in town as it was cheap booze, that may have contributed to that tuesday feeling..lol

No, I know you didn't, old fella - but there are rafts of people who did, sadly.

It's a genuine expression in drug culture, too, scarily enough.

No doubt you were just hammering Dog all night, eh ;)

Woohoo! Mondays in Route! Pink Pounder! All drinks £1! Except anything with a mixer, where the mixer cost £1 too. And most of the bottles, which were like £2.40. And the premium draught stuff, which was more like £1.80. So, cheap crap flat watery lager and alcopops!

Well, I agree Tuesdays are bad, but not as bad as the first day back at work, surely. After two days of lovely laziness at home, I have to get up and do all my lazing at work. Bah.

Wednesdays can go either way, sort of "oh no, ages until the weekend" or "woohoo! Not long to the weekend!".

Thursday used to be pub night, and so still makes me feel good inside in a something-to-look-forward-to way. Some sort of bizarre conditioning that won't fade away. I'll have to start going out on a Thursday again.

Friday. POETS day. Nuff said.
