Ring of Fire...

by bloglikesit @ 04/03/2008 - 16:48:41

No, I haven't eaten a particularly piquant curry, I saw this on Gizmodo and thought it was very cool so I wanted to share. Watch it to the end!

Appypollylogies for the lazy post, but I'm busy today!

I've got plans in my head for an elaborate spiral arrangement, complete with bridges and tunnels.

Oh, cool! And maybe a littel model in a truck that careers through the flames... and sparklers... maybe too much fire, there. Ooh, do it, do it!

See, the truck would plough through the lines of mousse and break the flow, so I might have to settle for a ramp and make it leap over the flames as they whiz past.

Oh brilliant. Can the truck have a gonk in it though, or similar toy-ette?

I do not currently possess a toy truck, so I can't possibly comment as to whether a gonk or similar would fit in the cab of said hypothetical miniature vehicular contrivance.

Oh, glue it to the top of the cab, a la Mad Max. It will be great when it's hair catches fire!!

What a marvellous idea!!

And a bit psychotic too - which I'm kind of excited by, and worried about in equal measure.

I was ignoring that side of it. I suggest you do too. Repress!

Yeah, it's not like it's going to lead to burning down other stuff is it. I mean, we're mature adults *cough*

Cool. But:

How long before it goes out?
Does it go out?
Will it leave a mark on your mum's dining room table?
Is it releasing toxic fumes that will give you cancer?
Will the house catch fire and firemen have to be summoned?

Who cares! Firemen. Hmmmm. Pass me the can.

Dunno.
Yes.
Probably not, it's burning vapour. But don't blame me if it does.
Hope not.
Try it and see.

People do these things...and yet you'd never consider doing it yourself, would you?

Veh neat.

Speak for yourself, I am considering going to buy some mousse this very instant!

It's very fortunate that I can't afford a blend-tek blender.

Hah, and I thought work was boring... Pass me the Mousse!

Do an elaborate one all round the studio.

Can I tie a presenter to a stake in the middle...?

If you do that, you also have to shoot him or her with arrows while riding on horseback around the mousse.

Very good.

But I was kind of hoping that there would be some sort of backdraft and that the person doing the filming would then be set on fire...

But not the flamable mousse that contains alcohol...

If I buy any, it'll be used up in pyrotechnic experiments long before you get here!

*makes mental note to remember to bring own flamable mousse that contains alcohol and lighter*

I had to read that about seven times before I realised the lighter is not contained in the mousse.

Make sure it's not in your hand-luggage!
